Story No. 05: The Story of the Donkey and the Tiger

Hello friends, today I’m taking you to the African savannah. One day, a donkey and a tiger meet.

The donkey, confident in himself, asserts:
“The grass is blue.”

The tiger, surprised, replies:
“No, the grass is green!”

An argument breaks out between them, and to settle their dispute, they decide to consult the king of the beasts, the lion. 🦁

Arriving before the lion, the donkey immediately exclaims:
“Your Majesty, isn’t it true that grass is blue?”

The lion, calmly, replies:
“Of course, I confirm that grass is blue.”

The donkey jumps for joy and continues:
“This tiger never stops contradicting and annoying me. He deserves a good punishment!”

The lion then declares:
“The tiger will be punished with three days of silence.”

The donkey, delighted, leaves, braying with happiness:
The grass is blue, the grass is blue! 🐴

The tiger, stunned, asks the lion:
— “Why did you punish me? You know very well that the grass is green!”

The lion wisely replies:
— “Indeed, the grass is green. But you were punished because a courageous and intelligent animal like you has no business wasting time debating with a donkey. Facts don’t need to be proven to those who refuse to see them.”

💡 So the next time you find yourself facing someone who is incapable of recognizing the facts, there’s no point wasting your energy arguing or debating. Sometimes it’s better to stay calm and move on in silence, because some battles aren’t worth fighting.
